Elissa Wiggins, Psy. D.

Elissa Wiggins is a licensed clinical psychologist in Virginia with experience supporting children, adolescents, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, ADHD, autism-related concerns, parenting challenges, and relationship difficulties. She offers a collaborative, compassionate approach that helps clients better understand themselves, develop practical coping skills, and work toward meaningful change.

Elissa earned her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from the Institute for the Psychological Sciences at Divine Mercy University and her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Clemson University. Her clinical training emphasized evidence-based psychological care within a Christian understanding of the person. When desired by the client, she incorporates Christian faith and theology into therapy.

Elissa’s therapeutic approach draws from cognitive behavioral therapy, interpersonal therapy, family systems theory, solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness-based interventions. She considers it an honor to accompany clients as they pursue growth and healing.
